Yesterday was William Shakespeare’s birthday. I had this written on my calendar all year, yet somehow it snuck up on me. The same thing happened with Shel Silverstein, Roald Dahl and Beverly Cleary. I’m vowing here and now that next year I will be much better at figuring out -in advance- activities to celebrate these most special of people.

To help with that, I’m making a list of birthdays to refer to. I’m hoping to make a similar list for book characters in the future, although that might be a bit more difficult. But I am up to the task! Give me time. In the meantime, enjoy this list of favorite authors and their birthdates. ūüėČ
