One of my bestie teacher friends showed me this trick. So simple and yet SO useful!

Take a file folder and draw your desk/table arrangement on it. I put x’s where my chairs are just for reference-some tables had 4, some had 5, so it was easiest to see the x’s.

Then write your students’ names on small post-it notes.

You can now move them around on the seating chart to try new arrangements! When you’re done, just fold it up, stick it in a place for the sub to find and pull it out again when you’re ready to mix things up.

Ta-da! Re-usable seating chart with just a file folder and post-its. 😉
