You know that moment when you see something on Teachers Pay Teachers and you mustmustmust have it?

Well, I feel that way about everything Danielle Knight {Up All Knight} makes. During this past sale, I made my move on her gorgeous Young Adult Literature Pennant.

It took me about 2 weeks to cut out the pennants because I cut slowly (perfectionist here), and I only worked on it while the kids were in specials. I then ran them through the laminator and watched the colors POP! Lastly, I stapled them to a reeeeeeeeeeeally long piece of red ribbon.

Unfortunately, I didn’t measure first. The pennants I picked out ran about 13 feet (there are 60 pennants to choose from) and they wouldn’t fit where I originally had planned to put them. So I ended up hanging them in the front of the room. I wanted to hang them about 3 feet higher than they are currently, but I’m deathly afraid of heights and couldn’t handle being that high on the ladder (I truly tried). I agonized about whether they looked too cluttered, but then I told myself to hush-they were just too cool to stress about.

My kiddos love looking at them and picking out their favorite titles. I love the animated/yet mature style of the images-my goal is to have a colorful classroom but elevate students as they mature into middle schoolers.

Yes! Absolutely share! I loooove the pennant and it’s stylish take in the books. Every time we have a parent night, they look at all the titles and reminisce about reading them when they were in school!
